Although awedding video is not necessarily something you'll watch every day,it will increase in meaning as your married life progresses and is the only way to fully capture the ceremony and toasts. How sweet will it be to snuggle together on your anniversaries and rewatch your vows and friends from that first day?
How many video cameras will you want? The more cameras, the more angles the videographer will be able to edit your video together with. For example, when you walk down the aisleif you have three cameras, one can capture the whole scene from the aisle, one can capture the groom, and one can capture theprocessional all at the same time. Have a conversation with your videographer about what type of coverage they can provide with different numbers of cameras, as well as what they recommend for your specific venue.
What parts of the day will you want captured? Are you a full coverage type of couple or would you prefer just the most intimate moments like the first glimpse and ceremony? Will you prefer a montage of the images edited together over music or more of a documentary type including interviews and best wishes from your guests?
How can you see their work? Many videographers provide clips of weddings for you to check out on their websites. This is a great way to find a videographer whose style you love. When you have narrowed your choices down, meet with them to see how you get along (remember they're with you for the day!) and be sure to see at least one(preferably two) wedding videos from start all the way to finish. You may also want to clarify with your videographer what the turnaround time is for your finished movie, since it is not uncommon for videographers to be backed up 6 months to a year.
Are there any other perks or special options?
Do they offer web-ready clips to share on your blog, Facebook, or Youtube? Are they able to provide a montage of the day shown at the reception? What other options do they offer that you may not have considered?
